Aerial Manlifts (Straight)
Manlifts are vehicles that have a platform hoist fitted onto the back. The hoist can be raised and it has a flat platform on which an operator can stand. The manlift uses an extendable arm to raise and lower operators to a desired height so that tasks may be completed at that level. |

Batteries and Chargers
Industrial batteries and chargers typically used with electric powered lift trucks; voltage range is usually 12,24,36 or 48 volt. Verify your incoming building voltage requirements when purchasing new or used chargers including required battery amp hour charger and battery ratings. Most chargers can be re-wired for a buildings varying voltage. A building with 3 phase systems may not have a neutral wire which allows the 3 phase system to use a higher voltage while still supporting lower voltage single phase chargers. |

Container Handling Machines
These machines are meant for outdoor use and can handle very large containers varying in size up to 40 feet. Available options are forks, or hydraulic spreaders for lifting. Fuel type is typically diesel. Capacities range from 15,000 to 120,000 lbs. |

Cushion Tire Riders
This is the most popular lift truck. It is typically used indoors in warehouse applications and on smooth surfaces only. It is not meant for outdoor use. It is also typically smaller than a comparable machine with pneumatic (air) tires. It comes with a variety of fuel choices. Capacities range from 2,000 to 90,000 lbs. |
|
Electric Riders 3 Wheel
This lift truck is typically used indoors and on smooth surfaces. Works well when space is tight. It has less horsepower than its gas powered counterparts and should not be used outdoors. Suggested for areas with little or no ventilation as there are no harmful fumes. Charger is required as these are electric units. Capacities range from 1,500 to 5,500 lbs. |

Electric Riders 4 Wheel
Typically used indoors on smooth surfaces and usually has less power than its gas-powered counterparts. Outdoor use is not recommended. Suitable for areas with little or no ventilation since it has no harmful fumes. This machine is powered electrically and a charger is required. Capacities range from 2,000 to 30,000 lbs. |
|
Electric Stand Up
Similar to stackers, these machines serve a variety of general purposes. Weight carried is counterbalances by the battery weight and weight of the machine itself. This machine is powered electrically so a charger is needed. An indoor application and smooth driving surface is recommended. Capacities range from 1,500 to 4,000 lbs. |

Knuckle Booms
This machine is typically used outdoors on rougher surfaces and contains a short and compact crane used for lifting heavier loads. There are variances that distinguish knucklebooms from straight boom trucks or trolley booms. |

Miscellaneous
This category is reserved for non-standard equipment or for manufacturers that are not as widely known and may not be listed in the manufacturers list. |

Narrow Aisle Electric Reach
Used indoors and on smooth surfaces, these popular machines are best used to retrieve and store pallets. Units may extend 1-2 pallets deep. Outriggers are used to counterbalance weight carried and as these machines are electrically powered, a charger is needed. As with most electrically powered units, little or no ventilation is needed due to the lack of harmful fumes. Capacities range from 1,500 to 5,500 lbs. |
|
Order Pickers
Order Pickers are a type of pallet truck that is capable of traveling into tighter areas and the operator is able to ride a platform up and down to the desired height. These are typically used in indoor warehouse applications. |

Pallet Jacks
These electrically powered units are used in an indoor application and are quite versatile. Lifts and lowers electrically by use of hand controls. Fork length is typically 48 inches and wheels are a hard material. A charger is needed. Capacites range from 3,000 to 8,000 lbs. |
|
Pneumatic Tire Riders
This lift truck type is usually suited for an outdoor application. It has good ground clearance and rides nicer than a cushion tire machine of comparable size. These are sometimes referred to as “yard trucks”. It comes with a variety of fuel choices. Capacities range from 2,000 to 120,000 lbs. |

Scissorlifts
These machines are available with styles allowing for indoor or outdoor use. A charger is needed as they are powered electrically. Capacities range from 1,500 to 3,500 lbs. |
|
Skid Steers
These four-wheeled loaders are compact and are used in many different types of industrial environments. These are also known as skid loaders and skid steers. These machines are used for pushing, digging, scooping, lifting and loading various types of materials such as sand/gravel. They are also strictly used outdoors and on all types of surfaces. |

Sweepers & Scrubbers
These pieces of equipment do exactly what their name implies. Used in warehouse applications, they sweep up debris with rotating brushes or are used to scrub warehouse floors. They are typically a walk-behind machine and cannot be used in an outdoor application. |
|
Swing Turret (Man-Down)
Unlike their Man-up counterpart, these machines are operated while on the ground but still offer the rotating or “swinging” properties to allow placement or retrieval without turning the entire machine. Works well in very tight or narrow aisle and are electrically powered. A charger is needed. Capacities range from 2,000 to 8,000 lbs. |

Swing Turret (Man-Up)
These lift trucks are useful in environments with very narrow aisles and with a need to reach greater heights. Due to their ability to rotate or “swing”, loads can be retrieved or placed without turning the entire machine. Riders can move upward to view task performance. They operate electrically and a charger is needed. Capacities range from 3,000 to 6,000 lbs. |
|
Tow Tractor
Commonly used to transport pallets of goods or raw materials in warehouses; they are also used in airports for transporting baggage and cargo. They are also used to pull-out aircraft in preperation for departure. Tow tractors can tow multiple trailers at the same time, forming a train. They are very similar to pallet trucks, except they don’t have front mounted forks. |

Truck Mounted Piggy Backs
These lifts trucks are popular for moving sod or masonry and they ride “piggy back” on trailers so are easily transported to work sites. Loads can be counterbalanced by the use of outriggers depending on unit choice (manufacturer). They come with a variety of fuel choices. Capacities range from 2,000 to 6,000 lbs. |
|
Walkie
These electrically powered units are used in an indoor application and are quite versatile. Lifts and lowers electrically by use of hand controls. Fork length is typically 48 inches and wheels are a hard material. A charger is needed. Capacities range from 3,000 to 8,000 lbs. |

Yard Truck-Rough Terrain
Well suited for outdoor use with uneven or rough surfaces. Popular in lumber and gravel yards etc. Has a better ground clearance than its cushion tire and standard pneumatic counterpart. These machines are also available in 2 or 4 wheel drive. Fuel choices vary. Capacities range from 4,000 to 40,000 lbs. |
